The Lazy J Ranch is the largest remaining privately-held contiguous block of land in Bridger Canyon.  This Montana ranch is being offered for sale for the first time in over fifty years.  The 5,665-acre mountain ranch is represented by Swan Land Company in Bozeman and is being offered for sale at $40 million.

The Lazy J Ranch has been under the careful stewardship of the James C. Taylor Family and Wytana Livestock Company based in Bozeman.  The Taylor’s are gradually winding down their historic Wytana Livestock Company agricultural ranch operation.  Started by Jim’s father, Vernon Taylor, Sr., in the late 1940s, Wytana Livestock Company operated expansive cattle ranches throughout Central and Western Montana.  Most notable were the Horse Ranch near Lewistown, the Pronghorn Ranch near Grass Range, the VT Ranch in Manhattan and the Lazy J Ranch.   Swan represented the Taylors in the sale of the 25,000-acre Horse Ranch in December 2011.
