Mike Swan, owner and managing broker of Swan Land Company has been invited to participate as a panel speaker at Law Seminars International  – Seventh Annual Idaho Water Law Conference.  The upcoming seminar will focus on Water & Real Estate and Identifying & Effectively Resolving Water Issues.  Specifically Swan will be speaking on “Practical Tips for Resolving Water Issues in Real Estate Transactions”.  It will include real world experiences and discussion of water issues, as well as tips for identifying and avoiding situations where water issues exist.  The program will provide an opportunity to review the often complex issues involving water and land.  The focus will be on water right and water supply issues and other common water issues affecting real estate transactions and development.

The upturn in real estate markets and transactions, particularly farm, ranch, recreational and development properties make this a good time to review the often complex issues involving water and land. In addition to providing an initial session on basic water law principles, the first day also will cover water rights due diligence, finding and acquiring water rights and private water rights associated with the use of public lands. The second day will focus on other water issues including Clean Water Act/Section 404 permitting, water delivery easements and rights-of-way and submerged lands.

The event is taking place at the Red Lion Hotel Boise Downtowner in Boise, Idaho on September 23rd and 24th. For information and registration visit the Law Seminars International website or feel free to contact Swan Land Company.
