Congratulations to the new owner of Sawmill Ranch.  This Wyoming property, surrounded by large cattle ranches, is small enough to afford yet big enough to run cows.  The 1,464± acres of undulating terrain located in Sheridan County range from 3,800 to 4,200 feet in elevation.  Tanney and Sawmill Draws are lined with ponderosa pine and juniper trees  while the bench ground nurtures abundant forage grasses.

There are numerous building sites and the property benefits from important infrastructure.  Two water wells and one spring provide domestic and stock water.  Electricity is available nearby.  The perimeter is fenced and there are several well-maintained interior ranch roads to allow for easy access around the property.

The historic LF Ranch is, simply put, one of the most magnificent Montana ranches to become available in decades.  The Ranch encompasses almost 42,400 deeded and leased acres, a sizable property even by Montana standards.  But it is the astounding diversity of this wild and pristine acreage —almost all of which is enclosed within ranch boundaries that makes the LF so spectacular and unique.  The Ranch rises from lush prairie grasses through riparian zones along its many creeks, past the iconic Haystack Butte, and up the Rocky Mountain Front to the Lewis and Clark National Forest, with which it shares a boundary for almost eight miles.  The Rocky Mountain Front wraps around the Ranch on the south and west, forming what is, in effect, a privately-owned preserve with all the attributes of

As one of the most diverse ranches on the market today, the Ranch at Bates Creek provides exceptional sporting opportunities with excellent privacy.  Only 45 minutes from Casper, the Ranch is easily accessible yet provides a distinct quality of seclusion.  Perhaps it is the water rushing over the water fall into the pool below or catching large trout in the deep pools of Bates Creek.  Somehow, you get lost in time and forget the cares of life on the outside world.  With 3,138± total acres, including 1,166± deeded, 1,506± BLM lease and 465± State lease, you have plenty of room to move about – hunting, fishing, hiking, horn hunting and rock climbing.  In addition to the deeded and leased ground, there is access to thousands of additional acres of adjoining BLM and State land.
