Strong Spring Sales on Recreational Ranches

Following a winter with record-cold temperatures and plentiful snowfall, the spring is warming up with strong recreational ranch sales.  This past week Swan Land Company brokers represented the buyers in the purchase of two Montana ranches.   Located in separate parts of the state and with very different attributes, we congratulate and are extremely excited for the new owners to take advantage of the great features that both of these exceptional ranches have to offer.

Grizzly Meadows Ranch, located in southwest Montana between Emigrant and Gardiner, is an exceptional hunting and fishing property.  With an exquisite log home, the Ranch is located on 626-deeded acres overlooking the Yellowstone River and offering 360-degree views of the surrounding mountain ranges.  Located near Yellowstone National Park, wildlife is abundant on this beautiful Paradise Valley property.  Large herds of elk and deer frequent the timbered hillsides, coulees and grassy meadows.  With the Yellowstone River just minutes away, plus two creeks and two ponds on the property, the fishing opportunities are ideal for the avid angler.  This outdoor playground is ideal for fishing, hunting, hiking, and 4-wheeling as it borders National Forest for almost two miles.  The beautiful log home was meticulously remodeled in 2010 with luxury finishes and superior craftsmanship.

Wing Ranch, located in Central Montana, offers exceptional bird hunting and has a strong farming component.  These 1,247-deeded acres located in the heart of upland-bird hunting in Central Montana is an exceptional opportunity for an outdoor- and bird enthusiast.  Wing Ranch has been immaculately maintained and improved to create exceptional habitat for a host of bird species.  In addition to the water- and wetlands improvements, about 30,000 trees have been planted over the last 10 years in an effort to create cover for birds and wildlife.  Over 950 acres include native grass land and high-quality crop ground planted in small grains and alfalfa.  In addition to the high-producing crop yields, the productive fields also provide food and cover for Hungarian partridge and sharp-tail grouse.  Furthermore, some of the grain fields are being converted to alfalfa to increase income for the owner.  The wetlands, multiple ponds and over three miles of creeks on the property attract a variety of ducks and Canada geese.  Situated in a migratory route, the Ranch is an ideal resting spot for migrating birds.  The improvements, which include two ranch houses, substantial dog kennels, grain storage and other facilities, are ideal for the farming operation and bird-hunting enthusiast.

Several additional recreational ranches with an agricultural component are currently pending for sale and are scheduled to close over the next several weeks.   Take a look at some of our other ranches that we currently have listed for sale, or give us a call at 866.999.7342 so we can assist you in finding your ideal farm, ranch or recreational property.
