I was born and raised in rural Utah in the ’60s and ’70s. My early summers were spent working on family ranches in Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, Oregon. I’ve been lucky enough to work in a variety of fields, each of which has contributed to my extensive knowledge of logistics and handling government officials.

My first career was in Medical Technology, where I worked in a clinical hematology laboratory before transitioning into a research assistant position in Oncology. Later, I joined an international medical equipment firm based in New York, where I taught customers how to operate and troubleshoot our analytical equipment. Following my medical career, I returned to work in a family company in the snack and Mexican food industry. I ran canning and bottling operations and interfaced with food brokers throughout the West and Mid-West. After a few years, I earned a degree in Business Finance from the University of Colorado and started practicing residential real estate for a brokerage in Salt Lake City.

After four years in Salt Lake residential real estate, I joined a prominent agricultural brokerage better aligned with my ranching roots, where I met Mike Swan. When Mike left to form Swan Land Company, I knew that following him was the best move I could make. As part of the Swan Land Company team, I’ve brokered over 300 farm and ranch transactions in the western United States, using my extensive experience to help clients navigate title issues, grazing leases, and water rights. We have a great team that I’m proud to be part of. Growing up on ranches, I understand each property’s beauty, benefits, and challenges. However, given my varied background, I’m a bit of a real estate renaissance man; my specialty is everything!
